Why I Like #Twitter
Twitter is “What are you doing?” in under 140 characters.
(1) It’s simple. The Internet is noisy, and simplicity is elegant. Look at the 140 characters as more of a challenge than a limitation.
(2) It’s hackable. Everything has an RSS feed, and the API is easy to figure out. Twitter excites the tinkerer in me. As an aside, check out Yahoo! Pipes.
(3) It’s social. When people ask me about twitter, I tell them it’s a conversation. A blog is a monologue. A comment is a reply where you turn and leave. Twitter is a back and forth dialog.
